Letters to Henry A.S. Dearborn, 1820-1822; bulk: 1820.

Series of letters written in 1820 by T.M. Acosta addressed to Gen. Henry A.S. Dearborn. Acosta was an con-artist who described himself as a recent immigrant and detailed various needs for money. A note written by Dearborn on the back of an 1822 letter explains that Acosta also used the pseudonym Manero and received money from other Boston patrons.
